Glenrio, formerly Rock Island, [1] is an unincorporated community in both Deaf Smith County, Texas, and Quay County, New Mexico, United States. Located on the former U.S. Route 66, the ghost town sits on the Texas – New Mexico state line.

We’re the folks of Glenrio Smoke Stop, a dispensary and consumption patio in the heart of a Route 66 ghost town. You can find us on the Texas / New Mexico state line, just 1 hour west of Amarillo off I-40.

Straddling the border between Texas and New Mexico is the forgotten ghost town of Glenrio. Once a monument along the boom-and-bust highway of Route 66, it now remains home to only the critters and the blowing tumbleweeds of the vast prairie.
