The BMW R25 gearbox is back together with many new internal parts, including bearings, seals, bushings, springs, and washers. The 2nd speed gear was replaced with an excellent used gear, and overall, I’m pleased to say it went together well. • It’s interesting to observe the small differences in this gearbox compared to the 4-speed versions produced later. Throughout the lifespan of the R25 series, more than a handful of subtle changes were made, with even more for the later R26 and R27 models.
