Birch bark is now ready in the Minneapolis area. To me the sound of birch bark “popping” is Grade A asmr, someone should make a page dedicated to that haha. All you need to harvest is tobacco, a knife, and 1 hand. When ready, the bark should just pop right off. If done properly and at the right time of year the removal of bark will not kill tree it.
