Ilex vomitoria (Yaupon holly) contains NO emetic compounds in either the berries or the leaves and no part of it will cause vomiting. Both the leaves and berries contain small amounts of saponins, but so do lots of other plants that we eat such as spinach, onions, and asparagus.
