Bob Weir, co-founder and longtime rhythm guitarist and singer for the Grateful Dead, has died at age 78 following a battle with cancer and lung issues. Weir helped shape the band’s psychedelic sound and led songs like Sugar Magnolia. He continued performing with groups including Dead & Company, most recently in a 2024 Las Vegas residency.
