He was invited by Maurice White to join EWF during a time when the band transforming themselves from a jazz act to a fusion of rock, jazz, and soul. Phil Collins and Philip Bailey released their collaborative single "Easy Lover" in the US #OnThisDay in 1984. One of Phil's most recognisable singles, the track was written by both Phils alongside Nathan East, and features Daryl Stuermer on guitar and Lesette Wilson on keys. "We just started having a jam one night, and went round and round and turned it into a verse and a chorus. We recorded it that night so we wouldn't forget it. That song doesn't sound like any particular era. It's just fantas
