I consider myself blessed to call Iditarod legend DeeDee Jonrowe a friend, and was honored to help her team this year as a dog handler. After a fire wiped out DeeDee’s home in Willow last summer, her chances for a run at her 34th Iditarod were cut short. But with the help of fellow Alaskans, she managed to get to the starting line.
